      Our Role:

      Migrating Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 for Accessibility Enhancement

      Our Responsibilities:
      • Execute the migration of an existing Drupal 7 website to Drupal 9.
      • Prioritize performance and security enhancements during the migration.
      • Optimize the website for accessibility to users with diverse impairments.

      Migrated from Drupal 7 to 9, focusing on improving performance, security, and accessibility.

      Achievements

       

      • Migrated 2500+ contents and 15+ content types using the migration UI, preserving all data and content.
      • Ensured the client gets the same features and functionalities as they were used to in Drupal 7 version with improved content management capabilities to be able to manage the content by themselves.
      • The migration to Drupal 9 ensured the website’s compatibility with the latest technologies and security updates, ensuring long-term sustainability.

      Challenges

       

      Migrating such a complex project from that was half cooked and to ensure timely delivery was not an easy task. Here are some of the challenges we overcame during the project:

      • Quick Turnaround: The client had already hired another agency who could not complete the work and we received it at nth hour of the delivery deadline
      • Inheriting Project: The project required extra careful planning and execution as there was some work already done and we had to make improvements and start building from where it was left
      • Coordination: To make working with development team of the client in sync and to ensure that maximum efficiency is achieved by utilising the time zone differences
      • Compatibility Issues: Had to identify and address compatibility issues between the two Drupal versions, ensuring that all content and functionality were transferred smoothly.

      Conclusion

      Our team’s expertise in migrating large amounts of data between different versions of Drupal, combined with our expertise with ADA compliances and quick TAT of delivering projects, ensured that the updated website went live on time, it is now offering users the same great experience as before, with improved functionality and benefits of Drupal 9.

      Overall, this project showcased our team’s dedication to delivering quality results, even in the face of complex challenges.
